Plan your retirement

During lock-down I got a chance to watch this Netflix series, Money Heist. What interested me was the apt characterization and most importantly the heist plan. The professor was the mastermind responsible for organizing the Royal Mint of Spain robbery and later oversaw the robbery of the Bank of Spain. Retirement plan can’t be just one product. I was always fascinated how people casually sign up a retirement plan when they apply for credit card or home loan. This way you will never be able to retire.

Retirement requires lot of planning and most importantly execution is the key. What you planned initially might change and journey is not going to be as planned. You need skills and knowledge to tweak the plan as per the economic conditions and the opportunities available during the course. Always have a plan B, if your original plan fails. You need to think yourself as a strategist similar to a chess-player, who needs to carefully calculate every move before arriving at a conclusion. One way to learn things faster is to get an advisor who can assist. Make sure the advisor is in his 50’s and has enough experience in this field for a decade. I will write about the list of advisors who are offering these services.
